this is fine for someone who just wants to check engine codes. I don’t like the idea that you must look up a code in a booklet that is no complete nor does it check anything else ie computer, sensors etc. It’s ok for the person that’s taking their car to a shop wants to get an idea of the problem. It’s not good for a mechanic who is fixing there on car or truck.

The product works as advertised on my two cars, a MB320 and a Mazda Prodege. However, its propably my fault that I was thinking that this devices, like moste similard devices on the market for a similar price, would show other miscelaneous information, such as engine RPM and temperature; etc. Well–it does not. The single line LCD should have been a give-away. This reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I am a little disaponted for the mentioned reason. But like I said, the product works as advertised.

But does not entirely diagnose the problems. Only gives you a range of possibilities.

The device did exactly what it was designed to do. I was able to find the engine fault and access the trouble that was causing it. I was able to solve the problem, save some money, and best of all, still have the tool for future trouble shooting.
